This year's event took place on Sunday 1st July.
Starting, as usual, from Penhale Round at Fraddon, this year's route ran via
Caerhays and through some of the best parts of the Roseland Peninsula before the
morning coffee stop at Tolverne on the banks of the River Fal. The King Harry
Ferry took competitors across to the Truro side of the river and then south via
Gweek, St Keverne and Coverack to the lunch halt at Mullion Golf Club.
The afternoon sections crossed over to the north coast visiting Porthowan, St
Agnes and Perranporth before arriving at the finish at Trerice Manor for the
traditional cream teas and awards presentation, a total of some 118 miles in
all.
The poor weather forecast did deter one or two from starting but, in the event
the rain held off all day and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves
again.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and additional help from Modern
Engravers, the event will again produce another worthwhile donation to the
Hospice funds.
