We are sad to announce the death of David Solomon. He was 70 years old. A previous member of the club for many years he competed in sprints mainly, with the odd road rally thrown in. David loved his cars in general and was forever changing makes and models. His competitive cars were Minis and a Metro and they were always turned out beautifully.
He will be especially remembered for the brilliant speeches he made whilst holding position as Club President. The presentation and humour (especially the humour!) was second to none!
A lovely fella. Our deepest thoughts are with his wife Sheila.
There will be a private funeral.
